Jeff lives in Houston where he attended Houston Community College and studied graphic design and web publishing. He earned an Associates of Applied Science in Digital Communication in the fall of 2015.
Jeff married Cecelia Carey in June of 2000. They have a daughter, Tienne, and two grandchildren, Avery and James. Jeff and Cecelia, both dog lovers, have a dachshund and two Maltese.
Jeff, the youngest of four, grew up in North Canton, Ohio, where he attended high school, became an exchange student to New Zealand, and studied the martial arts. Jeff is a 1985 honors graduate of Kent State University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and majored in computer science and operations research. While in New Zealand, Jeff began singing with a band and participating in musical theatre. In college, Jeff landed a lead role in the musical, “West Side Story.”
Jeff began his consulting career with Arthur Anderson & Co. in 1985, and then started his own business in 1988. Consulting to General Electric and British Petroleum for most of the 90’s, he traveled often between Ohio, Texas, and Alaska.
In the 2000’s, while working on numerous I.T. contracts, Jeff started his own cover band called EL VIBES. The Vibes covered pop music from the 60’s and 70’s and performed two stage shows, an Elvis show and a Motown show. Jeff describes this period as a magical time in his life.
In 2013, Jeff quit working to follow more academic pursuits. At HCC, he discovered a new passion, the visual arts, and is now working as a Graphic Designer for GMGW.
